Learn how to make this classic Spanish dish made with chorizo, chicken, and shrimp. It’s naturally gluten-free, too! Open to singles or couples!


We plan to begin group classes in late March or April 2022. Classes will most likely take place in Santa Monica.

Are you looking to “up your cooking skills”? Or learn more healthy cooking techniques?

Then you’re in the right place. 

Chef Joanna has worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years and has worked with a variety of celebrities and special diet need clients. She has a patient and warm style so you will feel comfortable no matter your cooking level. 

Chef Joanna’s Kitchen offers both group and private classes. Private classes can be customized for vegan, gluten-free or allergies. If you invite a friend to join you can receive a discount. 

Group classes focus on healthy cooking techniques and recipes inspired by the Blue Zones. These recipes are 90-95% plant-based and emphasize lots of veggies.

We’ll make international favorites made with wholesome ingredients that taste delicious and make your body feel energized!

  • Mediterranean Mezze: Tabuli, Homemade Hummus, and Spinach Patties
  • Homemade Pasta with Pesto and Tomato-Basil Sauce

  • Minestrone Soup from Sardinia, Italy
  • Better Than Takeout Lo Mein
  • Chana Masala (dairy-free)
  • Vegan Gumbo


Private Classes (1-2 people): 

  • 1 class- $150
  • 2 classes- $225
  • 3 classes- $300

Group Classes (3+ people): 

  • $30 per class
  • $25 per class if you buy 5 class program

My name is Joanna of Chef Joanna’s Kitchen and I am a culinary educator in Los Angeles, CA. After 10 years of experience in the restaurant industry, I discovered that I am more of a food counselor than a chef. I enjoy the process of cooking without rushing and I care about wellness, helping my clients create healthy habits in the kitchen that will ultimately benefit them and those they feed. After earning a degree in Nutrition and my culinary degree in France, I returned home so that I can bring people together and teach them something new.

Chef Joanna has been hosting virtual cooking lessons at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for the past few months and is a wonderful chef and teacher. She provides chef’s tips and tricks, answers questions, loves hearing other people share their experience, and is a warm and welcome presence on Wednesday afternoons. I have made several of her plant-based dishes and, despite my culinary limitations, they have been welcome additions to our dinner table.


Chef Joanna is amazing! Every week I look forward to our weekly gatherings with work colleagues. We are lucky to virtually spend 30 minutes of very engaging cooking lessons.
